First, the centrifugal switch working principle
The single-phase motor uses a rotor mounted on the motor, and the circuit is connected in series in the starting loop. When the rotor is stationary, the switch is on, and when it reaches a certain speed, the switch is off. The centrifugal switch is mainly used to control the starting coil of the single-phase motor.
Used by single-phase motors, mounted on the motor rotor, the circuit is connected in series in the starting loop. The switch is on when the rotor is stationary, and the switch is off when the rotor reaches a certain speed. When starting, the starting circuit starts through the centrifugal switch. When the centrifugal switch is off, the starting circuit is automatically cut off when the speed reaches a certain speed. When the starting ends, the motor becomes running.
The structure of centrifugal block is more complicated, it is easy to fail, and even burn the auxiliary winding. And the switch is installed in the motor, the problem of maintenance is more troublesome. Therefore, the current single-phase asynchronous motors have less use of centrifugal switches as starting devices, and instead use various types of starting relays. The starting relay is generally installed on the motor housing, which is convenient for maintenance and inspection. Commonly used relays are voltage type, current type and differential type.

The centrifugal switch is used to start a single-phase motor. When the motor is stationary, the switch is closed. When the motor is powered, the starting winding and the starting capacitor are in parallel in the circuit to make the motor start at a low speed

The second category, there is a centrifugal switch, single-capacitor phase-shift start, such as some fans and other equipment, but for various reasons, this motor seems to be less and less. But in some special places, it does exist.
The third type, that is, with a centrifugal switch, double capacitance double value phase shift type, is most common in many places, such as air compressors, cutting machines, bench drills and other places.
